Fairfield Forward is Pleased to Announce Our First Sustainable Donor Fund

Fairfield Forward would like to recognize its first sustainable donor Florence Prailleau Franklin and family. This sustaining donor contribution is in honor of Florence’s mother and father – Mary and Paul Prailleau of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Florence Prailleau Franklin was referred to us by community connections and our coalition members at Fairfield Community Food Bank. We are grateful to be able to pay it forward and honor the legacy of this family in our community that they have lived in and loved for so long.

Mrs. Mary Prailleau, mother of six children and grandmother of six served our Fairfield Community for 35 years, retiring in 2011 as the head of the Custodian Department of our Fairfield School District. Mr. Paul Prailleau served our country for 27 years in the military. Mr. Prailleau retired as Sergeant Major and continued his commitment to our community as a security guard in the school district for many years. Fairfield community members know Mr. and Mrs. Prailleau through their ongoing community support and lifelong membership at the BlackJack Baptist Church here in Winnsboro where they grew up together.

Donors

Mary Clark Prailleau, raised by her Aunt Florence Belton, learned at a young age to help community members in need. She had grown up in a house with an open door. Community members were always welcome to get something to eat, stay the night, or get some help in times of need. Through this legacy of love and support started by Mary’s “Mother”, her Aunt Florence, from whom she learned many life’s lessons, one ideal stood as her sustaining fundamental…that we must do our part to help others.

Fairfield Forward and the Fairfield community are very thankful to be supported by the Prailleau family. With a commitment to help those with an immediate need in our community, Fairfield Forward and The Mary and Paul Prailleau Fund stand united, with open arms to support the health and well-being of all residents.
